Arriving at their favorite restaurant, J'Lenna's eyes popped from her head "OMG!!! Mom this place is incredible. Yummie tummie! I can hardly wait!" she exclaimed happily. All J'Loni could do was roar with laughter. She had not heard her daughter or felt such joy in a long time. It did her heart good once more to see J'Lenna so happy. "Walker, she is so happy, it brings tears to my eyes", J'Loni said.

"Same to me darling. I love her so much I can't stomach her not having a father in her life." He said with a smile kissing J'Loni.

Returning the kiss, with J'Lenna in front and Walker bringing up the rear, they entered the restaurant. "Jeez mom, dad this place is incredible! Look at all the glorious foods! I have died and gone to food heaven! I'm starved!", J'Lenna said. "We have to wait to be seated hun. Don't embarrass us ok sweetheart?", J'Loni said to her flabbergasted daughter. "Oh no mom, wouldn't dream of it", as she rolled up her wolf's tongue. The girl was literally drooling and all her mother could do was laugh.

"Easy J'Lenna. I know your excited. But this is your mother's and my first date and we don't want to get embarrassed about this. Okay." He said to J'Lenna.

"Sorry dad. Wasn't planning to get in the way of you two love birds", J'Lenna said apologetically.

"Now hun, you will never be in our way. We are a family and you are also part of this family. Don't you forget that hun", J'Loni said hugging her daughter.

"I agree. I'm just in a good mood because I'm with your mother. She has always made me happy and I'm glad we're dating." He said.

"I guess I am in the way then...", J'Lenna said. She continued, "I know how adults are when they go on dates. They usually get a babysitter for the kids so they can be alone. I am spoiling that for both of you by being here", she added as she lowered her head and her eyes watered as she started to get up to leave.

"No sweetie come here. Look at me. We love you. Your our family. And your my daughter as much to me as ever. I love you. You mother loves you. We don't want to have you leave because you think your spoiling our fun." He said.

Wiping her daughter's tears away, "Honey don't think like that. I know how it is to be a teenager. Both of us love you and do enjoy your company. Even though it is your father's and mine date, having you with us is is an absolute joy. Remember we are a family", she said looking as her smiling warmly.

J'Lenna said. "Mom, look, I know that we are not technically a family as you and Dad are not married yet. It is something that will happen soon. I accepted that when I felt both your emotions upon seeing each other. I still consider Walker as my Dad", she said looking lovingly at him.

"And I still consider you my daughter J'Lenna. I love you and your mother both and will never forget this. However, J'Loni." He said getting on one knee and smiled. "I've had this for a very long time and wanted to ask you this for years but didn't have the words to ask you." Opens a tiny box. "J'Loni will you marry me?" He had asked.

That nearly floored her. Shaking in disbelief she answered him holding out her hand, "Yes my love i will marry you", J'Loni said with tears of joy falling down her cheeks.

He then slides the ring on her ring finger and smiles and then kisses her. "I'm happy." He said.

J'Lenna sat there opened mouth in shock. It was a Kodak moment to be sure. Unable to speak for about ten minutes till the shock wore off.

J'Loni took a bit longer before she could speak. "I am happy as well. And for J'Lenna's sake as well.", she said.

"Yes. I agree. I know it was a sudden to have asked you to marry me. But you know how it is when our feelings have resurfaced and can't get rid of them." He had mentioned and smiled at his soon to be stepdaughter.

"I think we should order our celebratory dinner to commemorate this wondrous occasion", J'Loni finally said finally after finding her voice. In the meantime, J'Lenna was smiling like a Cheshire cat.

"Yes I agree. I'm just glad that we are going to get married. I'm just happy that this family will be the best family ever." He said.

"As am I", J'Loni said kissing Walker and grabbing J'Lenna and hugging them both. Content and happy that everything was going good for a change.

Walker then smiled as the waiters got our dinner to us. "I got to admit, this is something we've been wanting to have for years lately. And now we got that chance." He said to her.

"Yes my love. Finally it has come to pass and I am glad it did. It was a long time coming", J'Loni said taking a bite of the delicious food.

He sat there smiling as he was eating his food. Looking at their daughter made him so happy because he is able to have a good and happy family. Something he's been wanting to have. He sat there and had finished his food. "Well I gotta admit we should think about heading back to the ship." He said smiling.

"Yes I think so. J'Lenna honey it is time to home", J'Loni said looking at her daughter.

"Awwww mom. It's great to be off ship, but if we gotta go, we gotta go", J'Lenna said emphatically getting up slowly from the table.

"Shall we", J'Loni said as she also stood from the table as well.

"Yeah. We shall." He smiled and looked at his fiance and his daughter.
